SUMMER ACTIVITIES
Since we would like to present you with Czech culture, history and way of life, we have prepared for you voluntary social and sightseeing activities. The activities include weekend trips to some major Czech cities and small social activities during the week; the latter are now listed in the section SOCIAL ACTIVITIES. In order to take part in any event (applies for both weekend trips and social activities), you have to sign up and pay the respective fee at the Welcoming Evening.
We have not set the final prices for weekend trips and social activities, yet. However, we know for sure that we accept payments in CZK only. So make sure you have enough CZK to cover your desired trips before the Welcoming Evening.
July
1st & 2nd July – Arrival
3rd July - Welcoming Evening
This is short meeting where you will get useful information about further events. You will hear a short introduction speech delivered by an official representative of our Faculty. Here, you will also sign up for weekend trips and pay the respective fees for transportation, accommodation and alimentation. If you are willing to take part in any of the trips, your presence is compulsory. However even if you don't want to travel to places listed below, it is strongly recommended not to miss the meeting, since you will be provided with other valuable informations regarding your staying in Olomouc. By the time you will certainly get hungry, that's why you will also get a free dinner!

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
Ropes Courses
A ropes course is a challenging outdoor personal development and team building activity. It consists of high poles connected by ropes combined with various obstacles. The ropes course is 100% safe, for the participants are constantly secured. Official website

Duration: 1 afternoon
Fee: 400 CZK
Rafting Trip
Rafting recreational activity using an inflatable raft to navigate a river or other bodies of water. Rivers in Moravia (especially the river Morava) are calm and safe. Make sure you choose your co-travelers well!
Schedule: will be presentated at the Welcoming Evening
Duration: 1 afternoon (3-hour long trip on the Morava River)
Fee: 250 CZK
Paintball
Paintball is a sport in which players eliminate opponents by hitting them with pellets containing paint, usually propelled from a CO2 or compressed-gas powered paintball gun. Make sure you take shoes which can be washed! The rest of your clothes as well as your skin is safe under protective coat and pants.

Biking Trip
There are plenty of wonderful scenic cycling tracks around Olomouc. The Moravian flat land is perfect even for absolute beginners. Our proposed trip would take you through the nature reserve up the Morava river to the town of Litovel. The route includes swimming in Poděbrady lake, a lunch in old watermill and visit to the Litovel brewery. Those more skilled can visit more places on their own, e.g. Bouzov castle, Javoricko caves etc.

Fee: 400 CZK (admission fee is 1000 CZK, after trip 600 CZK will be given back to you)
5th July - Sightseeing in Kroměříž
This is a one day trip. We'll travel to one of the most beautiful Moravian towns, Kroměříž. You'll see Archiepiscolan Castle and gardens surrounding that sight. We'll also make an excursion to local brewery. You can of course spend free time by visiting other places in this town by your own.
Schedule: We are sorry, but due to some problems, we can't offer this trip not be in option.

WEEKEND TRIPS
8th to 10th July - Sightseeing in Olomouc & International Evening Party
This event includes dinner with subsequent party at local club and sightseeing in Olomouc with a tour guide, followed by the lunch at local restaurant famous of typical Moravian food. This event is shared with incomings from other cities who will join us at the dinner. Anyone interested has to subscribe at Welcoming Evening and pay the fee.

Duration: 1 evening & 1 full day
Fee: 500 CZK (includes following expenses: dinner, free drink, lunch, admission to the Olomouc Archdiocesan Museum)
15th to 17th July - Trip to South Moravia & sightseeing in Brno
You'll visit some famous places of Moravia, including Brno, the second biggest city in the Czech Republic. You'll see most of its beauties and along with incoming students from Brno spend a nice evening in the typical Moravian wine cellar. Anyone interested has to subscribe at Welcoming Evening and pay the fee.

22nd to 24th July - Trip to Prague
This is three-day trip to our capital. You will visit the most famous sites in Prague, including: the Prague Castle, Old Town Square, and many more. This event is shared with incomings other cities. Anyone interested has to subscribe at Welcoming Evening and pay the fee.

Fee: 2300 CZK (includes following expenses: transportation, accomodation, admission fees, dinner)
29th to 31st July - Free weekend
Feel free to visit any city or town in proximity of Olomouc (e.g. Hradec Kralove, Opava, Kromeriz), stride across fields or woods, or just stay at the dormitories (however we do not recommend the last option, it would be a waste of time).
