The University hospital in Olomouc is one of twelve hospitals that are directly controlled by Czech Ministry of Health. It is the biggest medical facility in the district of Olomouc. In last years it was rebuilt, modernizated and renovated. New premises with high-tech accesories are the result of this action. The surgical monoblock was finished in the year 2004 (upper picture) and it has become the "backbone of the hospital".

The modern complex has significantly increased a diagnostic and medical care quality in the area of middle Moravia. University hospital in Olomouc provides basal, specialized and also highly specialized patient-care. It has got 50 departments, 1433 beds and over 3000 employees. The hospital treats more than 500 000 patients per a year.
